OMG Machines is an online coaching business that offers its members training on making money online through a number of different techniques.
OMG Machines: One Man Gang
The Company is fronted by Mike Long and Greg Morrison. There’s also Bob Proctor (spokesman) (and David Mills?). “OMG” stands for “One Man Gang” and it appears the company started up in 2012. If that’s really when they started, they are now in their fourth year of existence they’re still pushing their product, which is membership in their money-making advisement group (aka “community”).
The OMG blog, however, started only one month ago in December 2015.
The story goes like this: Mike Long and Greg Morrison made millions in the SEO business (5+ years ago, probably, when it was still possible!). Now they want to teach you what they know.
What Does OMG Machines Offer?
OMG Machines offers training and support for making money and accumulating clients online. Membership in OMG grants access to their blog and their private Facebook group, although I was able to view some sort of blog on their site, even without joining.
There is a continuous stream of webinars on topics like:
- affiliate marketing
- keyword research
- Amazon
- make your own profitable websites
- web design
- online marketing
- client retention
- backlinking tactics
- SEO blueprint formula
- a course on Squidoo (really?)
- finding niches
- how to create graphics
- PPC
- launching
- how to analyze competitors’ sites
- boost conversion rates on your landing pages
- outboud links tutorial
- how to add videos to your websites to increase rankings
- all about anchor text
- how to automate backlinking
- LSI keywords
- submissions
- social backlinks
- analyze your submitted articles for anchor text density
- how to deal with Penguin update
- how to work with expired domains
- how to interlink pages to increase rankings
- how to silo your site
There used to be a”Vbook”…what’s that, a long video? No, it’s a PDF book that has clickable links to supportive videos. If fact, when OMG started out in 2012, their product was a vbook, not membership. The vbook concept was straightforward: buy it, get updates as Google updates its algorithm, and you’re on your way to making your own money.
The product has radically changed…from concrete vbook to nebulous membership with access to a blog, “coaching”, webinars and a private Facebook group.
Is OMG Machines A Good Business Opportunity?
Trust me, the opportunity is all theirs and not yours. Your opportunity is to join their group and learn how to make millions on the internet. They claim their coaching will get you #1 rankings in Google.
By claiming their members make up to $600,000 per month with their system, the OMG team isn’t doing themselves any favors in the credibility department. And they’re claiming it’s done via search engine optimization, no less! Anyone who knows much about SEO knows this is a very wild claim.
Plus, the metamorphosis of their product offering from vbook to membership leaves me with a feeling of doubt…what exactly am I getting again, for joining? I get “vbook”, but “membership”? Their product is becoming less defined, which isn’t good. The company now stresses the value of the “networking aspect” of membership.
What’s more, for a company that claims to game the internet, they don’t seem to have a grasp on search engines. When you search on “OMG Machines” you get their site at #1, which is presented with links to their inner pages. That’s how I discovered their blog. Search engine results also show a link to their video area, which is also supposed to be for members only.
They’ve caught on because now that page sports a message that they’ve moved their videos to a “protected area” for members only. Why didn’t they do that in the first place? Next, they explain that I’ve arrive there “dishonestly”- nice way to alienate prospects! Finally, they make the wild claim that the FBI is very interested in this “theft” and that civil action is being taken.
OK then…nice way to welcome newcomers to your site.
