Guide Vine is an online platform designed to help people connect with experts in financial advising. They work with a team of financial advisers, each one having their own areas of expertise.
What Is Guide Vine?
Guide Vine was founded in 2012 by CEO, Raghav Sharam and co-founder Brian an adviser with the company. The idea for Guide Vine came about through personal experience in trying to find a financial adviser for themselves. This proved to be a daunting task and Sharam has experience in the financial department so he decided to start Guide Vine in order to simplify the process for others.
The company has been featured in many publications and has been the star of many interviews. They have interviewed with Fox Business, Bloomberg and in May 2016 Guide Vine announced their partnership with NAPFA. That’s just to name a few.
The Product
You will receive a list of names, as well as, extensive background information, access to their portfolios and past work experience.
If for some reason you do not like any of the advisers on the list provided just let them know and they will find others that may better suit your needs.
The platform will provide access to the following:
- A long list of advisers from different firms, each having their own areas of expertise.
- Find an adviser that meets your specific needs and fits well with your situation.
- View the videos of the financial advisers on your list, which is meant to provide a more personal feel, as well as, a wealth of information.
- Guide Vine provides free assistance with their concierges.
- Access to portfolios, videos, interviews, reviews along with the financial advisers background experience.
- You will be provided completely free access to the website, videos, research, content, blog posts and meet the advisers online through virtual videos.
The financial advisers create their own rates so each one may be different. There are several different methods they use. Some advisers charge a flat fee per hour, the fee can be anywhere from $100 – $400 an hour.
There is also a percentage fee which is based on the size of your portfolio, the percentage can be anywhere from 0.5% – 1.25% of your portfolio total annually. Then we have advisers who would rather charge a commission and the typical cost for that can be $5 – $200. So when you are doing your research be sure to look at how each adviser personally charges to be sure you pick the right one for you.
The Opportunity
Guide Vine does not charge you for helping find the right adviser for you, which is unlike many other companies out there. You will get assistance from the teams concierges for free and you can ask all the questions you want in order to help you better understand the service provided.
For those of you who would rather discuss things face to face there are brick and mortar offices in Georgia, California, New York, Texas, Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. . There’s no need to worry because if you are not in any of those regions all of the work will be conducted online.

The founder and co-founder of Guide Vine have the required experience necessary to provide excellent work. The business has been operating for almost 5 years and have no bad reviews.
The fact that Guide Vine has been featured in so many well known publications gives the company a lot of backing and credentials to prove they are a solid company with good intentions. Providing the initial service for free is outstanding seeing that many other companies will charge an arm and a leg just to link you up with a financial adviser. Guide Vine gets an A+.
