nikken-reviewAbout Nikken

Nikken was founded by Isamu Masuda in 1975. The first product ever created by the company was the Magstep, designed to help sore feet and body fatigue. It wasn’t until 1989 that the company expanded into North America and since has expanded to other countries worldwide.

Masuda built the business based on the 5 Pillars of Health, which are healthy body, mind, society, environment and finances. His goal was to help others obtain an overall balance in life. The company has an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau based on the length of time that the business has been operating, their ability to resolve customer concerns, transparent business practice and compliance to government regulations and rules.

The Toshizo Watanabe Foundation, created by Toshizo Watanabe, was founded with the 5 pillars in mind. The foundation provides scholarships that cover the total or a portion of college tuition. This is only available to consultants with a high enough ranking and is based on other factors as well. There is usually a maximum of $10 million available to put towards the college fund.

The Verdict

Nikken has been in business for 41 years and the company’s global revenue continues to soar annually at $9 billion. For customers the business offers decent prices and offers special deals frequently. Consultants who are familiar with the multi-level marketing model have an opportunity an potential to earn decent wages through the commission and bonuses available.

Unlike many other MLM companies Nikken does not have a scientific advisory board to provide backing on the products. Although the company has an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau reviews on Glass Door state that only 36% of current consultants would recommend this company to others, which is never a good sign. 50% of consultants who placed reviews on Glass Door approve of the current CEO.

The company offers great products at decent prices which is great, the company also states that they do not earn a profit through sign-up and many are unsure how that is with a monthly renewal fee to top it off. The verdict is not bad, simply put, have an understanding of MLM companies before signing up as a consultant. Other than that the company has great products and services.
